On 22nd April 2019 Earth Day, a global celebration of our planet, is celebrated in more than 193 countries by over a billion people.
As part of the celebrations this year, the CEMEX CSR teams will be holding workshops for school children at schools near CEMEX operations. The theme of the workshops will be to support one of the main Earth Day principles; to help end plastic pollution. The workshops will increase the environmental awareness of this topic by encouraging pupils to learn about recycling and upcycling as a method of transforming plastic waste into usable objects.
