Walk To Wembley For Cancer Research

Well done to Driver, Leslie Pascoe, for supporting his wife’s Godson and two friends on their 110 mile walk from Bristol to Wembley Stadium to raise money for Cancer Research.

Leslie explains: “I was so inspired by what these three teenage lads are doing for charity after all the bad press teenagers get nowadays, and that’s why I wanted to help in some way. I also decided a couple of years ago to do something for charity each year so this was a fantastic opportunity for me to do my bit for charity this year. I gave three days of my annual leave to support them along the way, from sharing the driving of the support minibus to walking with them with collection buckets. A big thank you to all my work colleagues at Wickwar quarry for sponsorship donations.”

So far the boys have raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research. Well done to Samuel Hill, Fred Gentle and Marron Farjado for their commitment and caring attitude, and to Leslie too for his support.
