UK Cement Team Attend End Of Year Cement Comms Forum

Last week 16 people from across the Cement business attended the second Employee Cement Communications Forum of the year. The day was led by Dave Hart (Supply Chain Director – UK & France), Clare Pickering (BSO Director, UK), Phil Baynes-Clarke (Director, Cement Operations – UK) and Craig Williamson (Director of Cement Commercial UK).

Key areas of operations were covered including health and safety, supply chain, customers and financial performance. Attendees were able to ask questions throughout the day, provide their feedback on how the last six months has been, and present their suggestions for aspects to focus on next year.

Dave Hart commented: “This is the second Employee Cement Communications Forum of the year. They are a valuable opportunity for those who work in our cement business to gain an overview of the progress and key developments that have taken place across all areas during 2019.  For instance, we spent time talking about planned sustainability developments, the Last Text Health & Safety campaign, and investments in cement operations due to be made in 2020. It was also great for team members based in different areas of the country to have the chance to interact and compare experiences. Thank you to all those involved in making the day such a success!”

Those that attended came from the Cement operations, Commercial and Logistics teams. Thank you to all those who dedicated a day to attend the forum:  Dave Eaton, Julian Fellowes, Mark Gough, Roy Scott, Bob Laughton, Charles Hamilton, David Hawkes, Vitor De Matos Guerra, Vernon Page, Joel Srodon, Darrell Collins, Wayne Campbell, Luke Sidaway, Terry Green, Richard Boult and Andy Mills.
