One of our plants received a visit from the HSE last week. Overall feedback was positive.However, they made two observations that other sites should take into consideration:

1. While there was a lot of hand sanitiser available, there were no antibacterial wipes for people to use. This is an easy fix but does make a difference to the ability of employees to keep areas clean – please ensure you have antibacterial wipes available, for instance to clean down kitchen items after use.
2. The site office and welfare facilities were receiving a professional clean once a day, however more regular cleaning is required. This does not need to be completed by contract cleaners, but could be carried out by employees. Please ensure you are following the cleaning process specified in the COVID-19 Protocols.

However, overall the HSE Inspector was positive and supportive of the efforts being made on site. Well done to all team members, and also to all our employees who are working hard at our plants and quarries to follow the Covid-19 protocols and prevent the spread of infection.
