In Cluster 6 Cheshire Sales Rep, John Harding, secured an order from Jennings Civil Engineering (North Wales) at TATA Steel in Northwich, Cheshire.  A requirement was for a waterproof solution mix for a 3d incinerator at the Plant and we were only given 2 weeks notice to organise this pour.  Daniel Roberts (Sales Manager) and John started the process of preparation and with excellent internal Team work they successfully supplied over 134 loads of concrete – this is the first part of a larger order.

Daniel takes up the story: “Good preparation had gone into getting this base pour right with conference calls being held with our suppliers, shippers, technical and operations, as well as with our customer.  The co-ordination by Paul Turton and his Shipping Team has meant that the pour, which started at 5.15am, had excellent service and the concrete was supplied from both Altrincham and Winsford Plants.

There were 2 concrete pumps used with 16 truck mixers starting the pour. The contract was a complex operation because transport traffic was very busy on the site.  Thank you to the banksman provided by TATA for looking after everyone with excellent Health and Safety awareness and organisation.

All staff and drivers have worked really well together ensuring that there were no service issues to deal with on site.  Without CEMEX’s Team work this pour would not have been such a success to all concerned.”
