Readymix London Pass The Baton Of Great Customer Service…

Well done to the team in Sutton Readymix Plant for giving fantastic customer service to Ardmore Construction, one of our major contractors in the London region.

Sharon Baker, Sales Rep, tells the tale: “The site in Sutton has been running for around 6 months now and we have already had pours of around 450m3 so this 950m3 pour was a big step.

The pour started from our Fulham Plant at 6.00am, due to London driving restrictions, and at 7.00am the Croydon Plant took the baton. Croydon supplied 646m3 and Fulham 289m3 which was a great result as the site is a 3 radial from Croydon but an 8 from Fulham, which in London as you can imagine is difficult.

This was completed and resulted in a very happy customer and the next day we received the email below from the Project Manager.  This was the largest pour that the team on this site has ever attempted.


Just a quick thank you for the service we received yesterday. It was a challenging day for us and the service you produced eased the pressure.

It is great to receive an email like this as often we only get emails of complaints.  This email is like a breath of fresh air! I would like to thank all the team involved on the day; the Operations Supervisor, Darren Yakinthou, the Plant staff, Chris Pearce, Ben Alade, the Shipper, Paul Foley, and all the Drivers.  Also a thank you to the supply chain Darren had organised to keep us supplied with Aggs and Cement throughout the day.
