Steve Goes The Extra Mile For Customer

Steve Sherwood, Tilbury based bulk cement Tanker Driver, demonstrated fantastic customer service when his MDT (mobile data terminal) recently crashed and re-set loosing the customers proof of delivery signature.  Steve called Jonathan Waller in the Planning Office to let him know, Steve was already en-route back to depot when it went down.

Following discussions regarding the potential issue this could cause Steve agreed to continue on his return toTilbury in order to load the vehicle he was using in readiness for an early delivery Monday morning.  He then used the works vehicle to return to the customer site in order to recapture the customer’s signature to ensure proof of delivery was obtained and avoid any issues with invoice query/non-payment.

We’d like to say “thank you” to Steve for highlighting this and preventing future invoicing issues, also for extending his day to do this… a clear case of “going the extra mile”.
