Uddingston Planners Prepare

Recruitment has been successfully completed for our new Scotland Aggregates and Asphalt Planning Office, with new starters Mandy Robinson and Natalie Weir starting work for CEMEX last week.  They will join existing staff: Iain Hunter, Phil Slaven and Gary Morton to make a team of five.

Their first ten days have been busy with a combination of inductions, training (with plenty more to come), a visit to the Planning Office at Preston Brook and a variety of site and customer visits.

Pictured are Mandy, Iain and Natalie at a cloudy Cambusmore Quarry, and also at Gartshore Asphalt Plant with Manager, Ken McAlpine.  Thanks to all who have helped with their training and familiarisation so far.

Their first impressions of CEMEX have been a workplace where people are friendly but passionate about their work, and proud of their workplaces.

The office should open for business around the end of November and will be a major drive to improve our Customer Experience in Scotland.
