Keith Ward Retires After 27 Years

Keith ward in the navy resizedIn his 27 years there isn’t much Keith hasn’t done with Readymix! But Keith, Plant Supervisor at Goole Plant, has now decided it’s time to retire. In his life before Readymix Keith was a sailor in the Navy (see picture, if you hadn’t worked it out, he is the one with the big yellow arrow above his head!).

Keith is very proud that in the whole 27 years he has never had a day off sick, how many of us can claim that?

Roger Taylor, Ops Manager for Cluster 7, commented: “Keith’s final day is the 4th February and he will be very much missed.  Everyone will agree with me that when Keith is about you will always have a smile on your face.  He has some fantastic stories to tell.”

Glynn Courtney resizedWhile Keith is saying ‘Good Bye’ to Goole Plant, Glynn Courtney (on the right) will be saying ‘Hello’ and taking over the reins.

I’m sure you all will join me in wishing Keith a long and happy retirement and that Glynn will make a success at running Goole Plant.

The family link will continue though as Keith’s son will still be working for us as Plant Supervisor at our Castleford Mortar Plant.
