Garry Gregory reports that with the help of Steve Leigh (@Steve Leigh) at Dove Holes they have arranged an 11 a side football match between the mighty Dove Holes Quarry Vs Asphalt. The game will be played on the evening of 5th September at Buxton FC – kick off will be 6.30pm.

Anyone interested in playing from Dove Holes or the Asphalt business please let Steve Leigh (@Steve Leigh) or Alan O’Connor (@Alan O’connor) know. All spectators are welcome and we are looking to raise some money for Challenge Derbyshire which itself raises money for 3 local hospices in the Dove Holes area. Players are paying £5 to play and if anyone wants to come along we are asking they also donate a few pounds. Steve comments: “The game will be played at Buxton F.C. Silverlands, Buxton SK17 6QH .The pitch will suit the highly skilled among the players as the surface is like a billiard table. We hope to give Athletico Asphalt a much sterner test than Real Readymix did in their last game. All spectators are welcome. Please come along and support the Teams and assist us in raising some monies for Challenge Derbyshire. It will be a nice social evening for all; there will be a buffet after the game.”
