Watch Out For Scam Emails

We have been made aware that a large number of CEMEX UK employees continue to be targeted by potentially dangerous email scams, or ‘Phishing’ emails.

The number of targets has been abnormally high in the last week so please remain vigilant.

If you receive a suspect email then do not open the email – please delete it.  There is often an attachment to the email which likely contains a virus so this should also not be opened.  For completeness, please also then delete everything in your trash folder.

Never give sensitive information regarding banking details or password information by email, your banks will never ask for this.

The recent scam emails that have been received appear to be from Barclays, JPMorgan, Natwest, and Dell – but they are actually from fraudulent sources. An example is shown below to help you identify potential scams, although formats do vary.

If you have any further concerns, please contact a member of the Security Team via ellenfrances.boylin@cemex.com

As ever, thank you to those that have alerted us to this, your vigilance is much appreciated.
