It has been confirmed that there are Bittern Chicks at our reserve in Attenborough. This is really exciting news as we understand it’s a first breeding record for Notts, and there are only a handful of breeding sites in the UK.  Erin McDaid from the Notts Wildlife Trust, commented: “We are delighted as our Conservation Team and Management Committee took steps in the spring to increase the chances of the Bitterns on site actually breeding and now they have, which is wonderful news”.
