Beach hut refurb

During the last tidal surge in late January several areas around the North East experienced very high tides, with some flooding and damage. In February Jeffrey Sewell  Aggs Sales Rep Stockton was contacted by Dennis Whiteley, a resident from the Runswick Bay area, a small close knit community on the North East coast.

A beach chalet belonging to an elderly couple, Mr and Mrs Boustead had been damaged in the storm, this property was a safe haven and peaceful retreat for their daughter Sarah who has Downs Syndrome. Upon seeing the damaged property Sarah became very upset, at which point the locals decided to see what could be done, and through Dennis actively sort help.

CEMEX has donated one load of rock armour with half price haulage through J &JG Gill. JN Bentleys who were working in the area, have donated a further two loads and Yorkshire water has paid for JN Bentley to carry out the work. The deliveries were last week.

Jeffrey met up with John Boustead and Dennis Whiteley, both are very pleased and grateful for the generosity of the local community and delighted that local businesses have donated materials. A good result all round.
