CEMEX At BRE Innovation Park (again!)

Recently BRE approached Andy Spencer in Sustainability to discuss concrete requirements for a modular (and mobile) home base on their Innovation Park, knowing we would come up with a ‘Better Solution’ to the norm. After some collaboration the opportunity was seized to promote a Value Added Product, Advanced Paving, with a lower carbon CEMII mix designed by Richard Kershaw in National Technical. This saved time and money in site preparation by BRE as no reinforcing steel is required.

Tom Colley and the Cluster 15 Team liaised with the customer, set to work and delivered on Friday 1st May. A stroke of luck meant that this material was placed next to the current display of our low carbon sleepers from CEMEX Washwood Heath!

We now have the opportunity to place an information board next to the material where we will be promoting both Sustainability and Value Adding solutions to the 20,000+ Innovation Park visitors every year.
