Well done to a Team from Readymix London for helping the Gasworks Dock Partnership, a regeneration charity based in the London Borough of Newham.  Local people have donated over 20,000 hours of their time to help improve Cody Dock and make it accessible to the general public after being abused and abandoned for several decades.

The CEMEX Team’s task was to strip paint off the upper decks of the ‘River Princess’ as part of a plan to make her ready to go back into the water and be used for tours.  CEMEX has also donated returned concrete on several occasions to resurface part of the dock, and a few of our Canning Town drivers are regular volunteers at the site. The Team commented that it was a truly rewarding experience.

The charity aims to build a framework for regeneration through the development of social enterprises that provide employment, educational and cultural facilities.
