From Wasteland To Wildlife….

The staff at Northfleet Wharf have turned a wasteland area at their site into a wildlife area with bird feeders, pond, insect /wildlife box and young trees. Adam Johnson, Deputy Wharf Manager comments: “It has all been made from recycled resources on site, trees grown by staff and re-allocated Saplings from over-grown areas on our boundaries.”

They have already found Lizards, Newts and a multiple amount of insects in the area. It also now gets visited by a lot of different bird species such as Sparrows, Robins, Wagtails and Blue-Tits. As the area matures they are hoping to find more wildlife attracted to the area.
