Last Friday and Saturday saw the official launch of the restored Barrington light railway by Country President, Jesus Gonzalez, as part of the restoration work at our Barrington quarry and cement works.

The celebrations included a steam train, similar to the one that ran on the light railway in the quarry, running up and down the new line and an exhibition of past and present works on the site, together with exhibitions with companies that have been part of the restoration work.

Jesus presented John Drayton (in orange in the pic) with ‘a little piece of Barrington’ in recognition of his 45 years of service.  Happy retirement John.
