Logistics “Pave” The Way

The Logistics Management Team carried out a Lend-A-Hand day at Fowlmere Nature reserve near Cambridge last week where they were tasked with reinstating a pathway. This involved wheel barrowing stone from the car park into the reserve and then preparing the pathway for visitors to navigate the site safely.

Whilst it was hard work the Team really enjoyed it and were fortunate at the end of the day to be given a guided tour of the reserve witnessing some rare species of birds including Grebes, Turtle Doves and a Marsh Harrier.

Doug Radford, Site Manager, said afterwards:  “Thanks to everyone for their efforts and hard work. The Team did a really good job of improving 60m of path and we have some surplus path material and two new wheelbarrows as well! Furthermore, the people were a pleasure to work with, and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.”
