Sponsored Walk For Emilie Raises Over £5,000

On Friday 17th February staff from the CEMEX Rail Solutions site at Washwood Heath walked 10 miles in aid of Emilie Dinsdale who suffers from BPAN, a rare genetic disease affecting only five others in the UK.

The initial sponsorship target set by the Washwood Heath staff was £2,000, however, through the support and kindness of colleagues within CEMEX, suppliers and The CEMEX Foundation, the total raised will exceed £5,000.

Stuart Neil, Business Manager for CEMEX Rail who knows Emilie and her parents, confirmed that Paul and Marianne Dinsdale are ‘blown away’ by the support CEMEX Rail Solutions have been able to offer and would like to thank everyone who supported the walk.

The monies raised will go towards the £12,000 cost of a visit to Chicago in June when Emilie and her parents will meet consultants from around the world who are meeting to discuss BPAN and seek cures.

Well done to Stuart and the Team for raising such an impressive amount to support this family.
