Over the last few weeks, Building Products have held Contractor H&S forums regionally across the UK business. These annual half day events have focused on sharing information on our initiatives to improve contractor engagement, providing an update on our H&S performance, delivering a shortened version of Safety Savvy and getting all attendees onto site to get their support on identifying NMHA (near miss hazard alerts).
The sessions have been well attended by our key contractors that range from small family run businesses to large global organisations and everyone has actively participated sharing their knowledge, feedback and experience.
These sessions are an important way of improving relationships with contractors outside of normal day to day contact and essential in securing their support on our journey towards zero harm.
We have developed a group mailing list of those that have attended so that we can keep in regular contact moving forward sharing any relevant incident alerts or new company initiatives.
