Pedal Portsmouth was the first cycle event run by Portsmouth Council, in which they closed down roads around the seafront for families to enjoy cycling around the area. Contractor TJ Transport and CEMEX supplied a vehicle each for an Exchanging Places event in the main events area. Liz Young, Communications comments: “With about 300 people, mostly cyclists, getting in the cabs and learning about the potential blind area around the nearside it was an extremely worthwhile event.  And the sun shone!  so as well as the cyclists, many people taking a Sunday afternoon stroll along the sea front saw the distinctive CEMEX branding”.
