Recently CEMEX did extremely well picking up a massive range of awards demonstrating our overall commitment to safety. Unfortunately representatives of Dry Silo Mortar were not able to attend in person to collect their awards so Andy Taylor arranged for Richard Claydon, CEMEX Global Health & Safety Director, to present the Highly Commended Certificate to the Dry Silo Mortar Team for their Leadership in Behavioural Safety, both within ourselves and on building sites when using our mortar silos. Richard also presented a certificate and winners trophy to William (Bill) Buckley for his individual personal contribution in putting together our silo training and assessment programme, and leading the change internally within the Dry Silo Mortar Engineering Team and in turn building sites across the UK.
