This weekend we had a TRI at our Rugby Plant.  A contractor suffered an injury to his finger when he trapped it between the flight of the auger and the edge of the cover.   As a result he injured his finger and had to undergo an operation in hospital to have part of it removed.   Remember to stop and think before starting a new task and make sure all necessary precautions are in place – step in if you see anything unsafe about to happen.

Make sure risk assessments and method statements/safe systems of work are in place and that everyone involved in the job knows them.  Let’s keep looking after each other to stay safe.
