Sadly this week saw some bad news with our first LTI for 2015, after 35 weeks injury free. An employee suffered 1st and 2nd degree scalding on his face and arms when hot water was released under pressure as he removed a cap on the cooling system for an auxiliary engine.
Thankfully the eye protection he was wearing prevented more serious injury. An investigation is underway to identify the root causes of the incident.
BUT please remember to always stop and think and step in if you see ANYTHING remotely unsafe to keep each other from harm.
