We were made aware of two specific examples of people Stepping In last week:  one where a tyre fitter was observed working beneath a lorry without any PPE or Permit to Work and with his feet sticking out from beneath the vehicle.  In the second incident it appears that some people were observed working from a loading shovel bucket, a dangerous practice that was banned many years ago.  Thanks go to the employees who took the time to Step In and prevent situations that could potentially have led to very serious injuries.  If we are to achieve zero injuries we all need to follow the Safety Essentials and Step In whenever we see anything unsafe.
