Good News for South Ferriby Cement Plant

Since that fateful night of 5th December 2013, when the Humber tidal surge hit the area, South Ferriby cement plant employees have been working out of portacabins.

It is good to be able to report that CEMEX and the insurers have now finally agreed the costs for new permanent accommodation to be built. The building will be a multipurpose unit housing all employees which will include a central control room, laboratory, messroom/changing facilities and office accommodation.

Demolition of the garage will commence shortly in preparation for the new building work to start. The plans are undergoing a final review to find an optimal use of space for the agreed budget as well as to prepare for the planning procedure.
