The monthly Just Ci competition in Aggs continues to showcase the many fantastic local ideas to improve our operations.  Many of the monthly entries continued with the theme of “Creativity over Capital” to help make our workplaces safer, ensuring the quality of our products is improved, organising our workplaces so teams can work smarter and not harder, as well as improving efficiency and downtime issues.

Congratulations go out to Angerstein Wharf, Berkswell Quarry, Bramshill Quarry and Pallet Hill Quarry for winning the last two monthly JUSTCi best Idea’s competitions. Brief descriptions follow:

• Angerstein Wharf installed a magnetic rotation device to detect  when a pump slows down or stops and avoid spillage / clean up.
• Berkswell Quarry’s focus has on improving Stockpile Drainage system.
• Pallet Hill have developed effective visual standards & systems to ensure we control Grease Cartridge Stocks.
• Bramshill have installed spray-bars to turn the head drum into a saturation box to help overcome raw feed material issues. See the photo above.

Pallet Hill Quarry also have received recognition and a request for more information on this month’s winning idea from Cemex Israel. It just goes to show that when we share the great ideas and improvements that our teams implement, we can adopt and adapt them at multiple locations / regions to make all Cemex business much stronger!
